We research, read, and compare the top premium mattresses — drawing on published specs, owner feedback, and verified third-party reviews — so you can make a well-informed choice before spending several thousand dollars on something you’ll sleep on every night.

Our Mission
Our goal is to cut through the marketing noise in the luxury mattress segment — a space where pricing is opaque, claims are inflated, and it can be genuinely hard to tell one $3,000 mattress from another. We focus on what actually differentiates mattresses at the premium end: materials, construction, feel, durability, and whether the price reflects real quality or just a brand name.
We cover only the premium and ultra-luxury tier. That’s a deliberate choice — it’s where the research gap is widest and where a poor decision is most expensive.
How We Work
Every page on this site is produced using the same process: we start with the manufacturer’s published specifications, cross-reference them against owner reviews on verified platforms, and look at how each mattress compares on the criteria that matter most at its price point — materials quality, edge support, motion isolation, temperature regulation, and long-term durability.
We don’t accept free mattresses or paid placements. We do earn commissions through affiliate links — that’s disclosed above and on every page that contains a purchase link. Our recommendations reflect our honest assessment, shaped by that research process. If a mattress doesn’t hold up well in owner feedback, we say so, even if it’s a brand we link to.

About the Founder
Sanctuary Mattress was created by Tamara, who co-ran a mattress and furniture store in Pensacola, FL with her husband Trevor from 2012 until COVID forced the doors closed in 2022. After nearly a decade of testing, selling, and hearing customer feedback on hundreds of mattress models, Tamara built this site to share what she learned about what actually makes a mattress worth the investment — and what is just an expensive marketing story.
Tamara writes the reviews. Trevor handles the deals research and price tracking through our sister site, MattressClearanceUSA. Both bring nearly a decade of in-person mattress retail to every recommendation.
